My Pretty Friend Can't Make it Without A Man

Yesterday a not-so-attractive woman was complaining about her friend.

She said, "I don't know why she can't be without a man. This SOB she with ain't doing a damn thing for her. He ain't even got a job. I just couldn't let no man use me like that. He make her send the kids to daycare while he sit at her house all day running her airconditioner, playing video games, and eating her food. He takes her car and drop her off at work. Then the other day he told her he was moving out, because he didn't want her nomore. All because she didn't want to buy him a $19.99 video game. She called me crying about him leaving her. I was pissed off at her fool ass for begging him to stay. I told her to tell him not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out. But she was still crying like a fool. To me-Well he did her a favor by leaving, cause I would have been put his ass out. Me and her have been friends for 12 years and she always has to have some no-good man around her. She done had 4 of these no-good nig$$s  in 12 years. They all do the same thang. They move in with her, quit work or get fired,  and then live off her and her kids. She got a good job at Walmart and get child support and everything, but she could be spending that money on them kids.  Now see me, I don't get down like that, every man I meet tell me up front they don't want no commitment. So I tell them bastards to kick rocks. I would rather be by myself and use my toys than to be running after every Tom, Dick and Harry. Especially if the nig$a aint got no job".

I listened. But what do you think is going on here?
Do you think men approach beautiful women and confess upfront that they only want sex?
What kind of man lives off of women?
Was the woman that told  this story just jealous?
How does a woman survive for 12 years with no intimate relationship?

Borderline Traits

Book dedication in Henrico, VA, July 13th 2011.
There were a couple young women that had already read "Borderline Traits". On Wednesday they thanked me for telling their stories.

My opinion of Borderline Traits.

have read this book and it is all that. It is sad, at times I cried. Sometimes, Leah, the main character is scandalous, so I got pissed. I hated when she was sleeping with other women's husbands and had the audacity to call the women and tell. I felt so sorry for her, because as a little girl she went through more than any young black girl should have to. I was praying for her sometimes.
Man, talk about a dysfunctional family.
But this book just made me think about all of my friends and the girls in my family over the years. I wondered how many of them have the same problem this woman had and just didn't know.  I know plenty of women that are now full-fledged crack-head prostitutes, shoot I wonder if some of them have this same mental problem.
Then I think this really ought to make black women think before they jump up and get pregnant by a man that they know don't want them. Because, when the baby is born if he don't want to be there, he won't be. And you r left  to raise the baby by yourself. Trust me, I have friends that have babies by dudes just because he had pretty hair or pretty eyes...then no matter how pretty the baby was or how it looked like the dad, the sucker still didn't want her or the baby. This book shows us how people prey on children who don't have fathers. I believe this girl would have had a lot better life if she had her daddy in her life.
